Meet the Captain: Ron Ritari

Ron Ritari is the Captain of Wide A Wake, a 27 foot Tiara Pursuit, under the business of Great Idea Charters, LLC.

Ron is a native of Marquette, MI and grew up just blocks from beautiful Lake Superior. His love for the Upper Peninsula and all that it offers has kept him in the area his entire life. He’s a true “yooper”! Ron has been an avid fisherman on Lake Superior, the many surrounding inland lakes, and streams since a young age. Beyond fishing, he is an outdoor enthusiast who loves hunting and spending time in nature. Ron has many skilled talents, including building a cabin from hand peeled logs, creating custom log furniture, and all carpentry tasks --- there’s nothing he can’t build, or fix mechanically!

Ron’s knowledge, passion and patience provide a great fishing experience. His familiarity and connection to the area, combined with his storytelling ability, will make for an enjoyable journey on the lake. He is a USCG certified captain and CPR certified as well.
